  • Do you travel for projects?
Yes! We take on projects coast to coast.
  • Do you work virtually?
Yes! The only requirement for our virtual projects is to have a Matterport (3D virtual tour) done on the property which allows us to take accurate measurements virtually to ensure we are making appropriate recommendations and selecting proper furniture sizes.
  • What types of projects do you take on?
We transform both residential homes and vacation rental properties into dream spaces. Our projects range from smaller refreshes or “finishing touches” to full home renovation projects.
  • What are the first steps in working together?
The first step in our process is a free 15-minute discovery call to gather general details about your project, answer any questions about our services or process, and make sure we are a good fit for your project. The second step is scheduling an initial consultation (which can take place in-person or virtually) so we can see your space and start brainstorming fun ideas, offer on-the-spot recommendations to improve the space overall, establish a general shopping list and scope of work, and take measurements to determine proper furniture sizing.
  • What does the initial consultation include?
The purpose of the initial consultation is for us to can see your space and start brainstorming fun ideas, offer on-the-spot recommendations to improve the space overall, establish a general shopping list and scope of work, and take measurements to determine proper furniture sizing. Whether you decide to hire us beyond the consultation to execute the project or not, there is a TON of value in the consultation itself. It’s essentially 60-90 minutes of picking our brain, talking through your design dilemmas, and getting professional guidance.
  • How do you price your services?
We offer different packages that are priced on a flat fee based entirely off the scope of work. If the package options aren’t the best fit for you or your project, we offer clients the opportunity to purchase design hours that can be used for any of our design services. Our hourly rate is $195/hour and we bill in 15-minute increments.
  • Is there a contract?
Yes! Our service agreement is signed by both us and the client to ensure we are on the same page with all project details, deliverables, and the investment associated.
  • Do you have your own contractors or will I need to source my own?
One of the many benefits of working with an interior designer is we do have an entire network of professional trades people and contractors to help execute our vision and we are happy to recommend them for your project. However, if you have your own contractors who you’ve worked with before and prefer to work with again we are happy to do so as long as we feel they are fit for the project.
  • What are your business hours?
Our business hours are Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST.
  • When should I reach out about working together?
If possible, it’s ideal to schedule the consultation while the property is under contract so that when you close, we can get started executing the project right away. Every day the property isn’t live on the market and being occupied is lost rental income for you as the investor, so it’s important to be efficient with our time.
  • Can the consultation be done virtually?
Yes! The only requirement for our virtual projects is to have a Matterport (3D virtual tour) done on the property which allows us to take accurate measurements virtually to ensure we are making appropriate recommendations and selecting proper furniture sizes.
  • How long do projects take?
The duration and timeline of your project depends entirely on the scope of work and contractor’s availability if renovations are involved. We will always discuss your timeframe needs as well as a realistic estimated timeline before the project begins so you have an idea of what to expect. If the project involves only furniture and décor, we usually estimate 4-6 weeks from signing of contract to installation.
  • Do you take my personal style into consideration when designing?
If you’re planning on using your vacation rental property for personal use as well, we will take your personal style into consideration. However, if the main purpose of your vacation rental is to be profitable we highly recommend designing the space to attract your highest paying potential guests. This means designing the property based off that target renter’s style, preferences and needs.
  • Is professional design necessary for vacation rental properties?
Design is EVERYTHING when it comes to making it or breaking it as an investor in this industry. Today’s rental market is so competitive that in order to be successful, your property must stand-out and be strategically designed in order to charge a premium and stay consistently booked.
  • How involved will I have to be in the design project?
Most of our investor clients are busy, professionals and prefer to let us take the guess and stress out of the design process for them. As long as we have been provided with the project budget, your overall goals as an investor, and maintain open communication we feel confident in executing every aspect of your project.
  • Do you do refreshes for existing vacation rental properties?
Yes! Even top-performing properties need a refresh every now and then. With multiple new properties hitting the online booking platforms daily, it’s important to keep your property updated and looking fresh.

We source products from both retail and trade vendors all over the world, meaning we have access to furniture and décor suppliers that are only available to professional designers, architects, stagers, and builders.
  • Will I have access to your designer discounts?
No – Designer “discounts” are professional trade-only pricing and is part of how designer’s make their income. If this were not a part of our profit margins, our service fee would have to be higher. Our products are always priced to be competitive with retail pricing.
  • I need the property photoshoot ready. Do you style the space with accessories too?
Yes! We love seeing your project all the way through and believe the finishing touches are what really paints the picture to guests as to what their experience will look and feel like. Pool floaties, games and books, spa-rolled towels – we are all about the details!
  • Do you offer assistance with online booking platform descriptions?
Yes! We assist our clients with writing their listing content with compelling, storytelling descriptions that converts lookers into bookers!
  • When should I hire an interior designer?
You should bring on a designer in the earliest stage of your project. Having professional guidance from the very beginning allows your designer to assist you in every decision, detail, and specification – and prevents some expensive mistakes. While we can always come on in the middle of a project, some things may be too late to change at that point.
  • Do you do all different styles?
Yes! Part of our gift as interior designers is to be able to adapt to any style regardless of our personal style. Because we do a lot of vacation rental properties, we do tend to use a lot of fun, bold colors but that’s not to say we don’t love a good neutral moment too! We are here to guide you, advise you, and bring your dream home vision to life.
  • What if you present something I don’t love?
We promise you won’t hurt our feelings! We want you to LOVE your space – so if we ever present something that you’re just not loving, please let us know so we can find something that you do!
  • I’ve never worked with a designer before. Is it expensive?
Design is an investment in yourself, your space, and your quality of life. When done right, design has the ability to impact our mood, productivity level, and overall happiness. It’s not cheap and is definitely considered a luxury service, but it’s MORE than worth it!
  • What role does an interior designer have in a renovation project?
Your interior designer is your unbiased, expert resource who serves as your advocate and liaison between all other tradespeople involved in your project. We have your best interest at heart and want your project to turn out perfect JUST as much as you do!
  • How involved will I have to be in the design project?
You can be as involved or not involved as you’d like! We gather all the necessary info and ask all the right questions on the frontend of your project to ensure we fully understand your vision, style, preferences and lifestyle needs so that we can confidently curate your dream space - but if you want to be more hands-on, that’s fine by us!
  • Can you work with some of my existing furniture and décor?
Yes! We help our clients determine which of their existing furniture and décor pieces fit into their new space and can also help “rehome” items from one room to another. A room is never complete without a special family heirloom or travel treasure!
  • Do you source products from retail or trade vendors?
We source products from both retail and trade vendors all over the world, meaning we have access to furniture and décor suppliers that are only available to professional designers, architects, stagers, and builders.
  • Will I have access to your designer “discounts”?
No – Designer “discounts” are professional trade-only pricing and is part of how designer’s make their income. If this were not a part of our profit margins, our service fee would have to be higher. Our products are always priced to be competitive with retail pricing.
  • Will I be able to sit on a piece of furniture before ordering?
If it’s a retail product that has a store near you and carries the item in-store, yes absolutely! If it’s a trade-only or a tailor-made product, then usually not. The main reason we as interior designers attend market twice a year is to see, feel, and sit-test products to be able to speak on the quality and comfort to our clients.
  • What is the return policy for products?
For retail products, the return policy depends on the individual vendor. For trade products, there are generally no returns expect for damaged products. In other words, returns are not accepted for reasons such as buyer’s remorse.
  • How long do projects take?
The duration and timeline of your project depends entirely on the scope of work and contractor’s availability if renovations are involved. Good design takes time! We will always discuss your timeframe needs as well as a realistic estimated timeline before the project begins so you have an idea of what to expect.
  • I want that finished-out look. Do you style the space with accessories too?
Yes! In fact, that’s our favorite part! We love seeing your project all the way through and finishing it off with the perfect final touches that speak to your style, stories, and personality.
